Product news

Mockshop 4.50.2 available now.

Service release 4.50.2 fixes a small number of issues that had been found in the software. It also delivers several new or improved features that have been requested by our users. To find out exactly what Mockshop 4.50.2 contains, please click here for the What's new and updated in 4.50.2 document.

Mockshop version 4.50 addresses store openings & sell-in:

Mockshop version 4.50 has a dual focus;

  • Make the process of planning and executing store openings easier by generating detailed schedules of space, merchandise, fixtures and graphics.
  • Improve the use of Visual Retailing in the wholesale space acquisition and “sell-in” processes by adding interactive space and financial feedback in vrStore and by adding semi-automated catalogue production and improved formatting capabilities to vrStoryboard.

Opening new retail space involves the buying, merchandising, retail operations, technical services teams and, in most cases, external contractors. Version 4.50 improves the ability for these various teams to collaborate throughout the whole project whilst providing detailed space, equipment and merchandise schedules interactively and on-demand.

vrStoryboard is being used by more and more of our clients to produce catalogues, look books and planograms. This version semi-automates the catalogue production process, makes the formatting of text, labels and page backgrounds much easier whilst improving resource management to make it possible to handle bigger files.

For more details on these features, please download the What's new in 4.50 document from here.

What's new in version 4.40

Version 4.40 delivers upon a number of key goals for new and existing users. There are two themes running through the new enhancements; Productivity and Image Quality.

  • Productivity is at the forefront of everyone's mind and 4.40 delivers improved rendering speed and increases throughput in a number of areas. The image acquisition process has been streamlined and made more accessible whilst the creation of an “all-in-one” fixture planogram reduces the time required setting up stores and planogram documents.
  • Image quality has been dramatically improved through the introduction of anti-aliasing, 3D shadows and a host of new tools in vrShape and vrStoryboard.

For more details on these features, please download the What's new in 4.40 document from here.

We love to hear your feedback

We believe version 4.50 addresses a lot of user requests and introduces some innovations that will eliminate many repetitive processes. It's another big step forward and we hope you enjoy the new features.

We are now heavily involved in the development of both version 4.60 and 5.0 and, as ever, we look forward to receiving your feedback on what's good and bad about the new features in 4.50 together with your requests for new features and enhancements.

Best regards,

The VR Development and Support teams.
