Visual Retailing International BV releases version 4.70 of it Visual Retailing Solutions for the Fashion Retail Industry

Ripon, England April 23rd 2012 : Visual Retailing International BV the market leading provider of "Visual Retailing" software solutions for the fashion retail industry, is delighted to announce its latest 4.70 product release. The Company delivers visual merchandising, planning and retail execution solutions to over 7,500 users in 32 countries. The 4.70 version of "Visual Retailing" contains over 40 new exciting and innovative features, which ultimately saves customer's time, money and duplicated effort. With major improvements in functionality, "Visual Retailing" 4.70 provides the ability to conceive, visualise and deliver compelling product ranges and displays in both the clicks and bricks formats demanded in today's multi-channel world.

Colin Liversedge, CEO of Visual Retailing International BV commented, "The release of version 4.70 of our 'Visual Retailing' solutions is fantastic news for our users. Each new feature has been developed to make significant improvements in functionality or to address current business issues. Feedback from customers show them to be particularly delighted by the ability to import and export .OBJ files which means that Mockshop now delivers an even more comprehensive store design and modelling solution. The adoption of the industry standard OBJ file also means that store designs, features and fixtures that have been created in other 3D CAD software can be utilised in the fully interactive Mockshop. The integration of OBJ files goes both ways, with Mockshop also exporting full merchandised shops as OBJ files so that special effects can be applied in high quality rendering solutions such as Autodesk's 3D Studio Max. This means that the retailing teams can build up realistic and accurate shop floor models and then pass it to the marketing department for the final gloss to be applied for presentation purposes."

Colin continued, "Equally, we have received nothing but positive feedback regarding the new features which specifically improve and streamline the sales process to help drive sales for retailers, brands and wholesalers. Mockshop is known around the world for its ability to drive double digit sales growth by automating the production of shop floor merchandising directives which means shopfloor merchandising instructions arrive with new stock on a weekly basis. For brands and wholesalers, the ability to interactively build visual, client specific, product catalogues based upon suggested assortments, saves time for both the sales person and the buyer and, most importantly, delivers coordinated best-selling ranges to the end user shopper.

As more of our customers operate globally linking up offices around the world, they needed an upgrade in performance over wide-area networks that would keep everyone in synch. To deliver on this need, investment has been made with the first significant improvement being a localised image cache, which means that images are only downloaded locally once, which saves upon a huge amount of bandwidth. Of course, to make certain everyone is working on the latest version of a product image, mannequin or poster, the image cache is intelligent and always downloads the latest version whenever an update occurs."

A whole host of other time saving productivity tools have been improved, including ; space planning updates, full utilisation of the PNG file format, storyboard merchandise indexing for generating order schedules, improved detailing within vrAnalysis, memory optimisation to improve performance, multi-product merchandising settings in Mockshop, faster panning and zooming using the mouse wheel button, keyboard short-cuts and, just over the horizon, a host of new features will be delivered to improve the visual assortment planning process with Lineplan.
